Shuster: Cargill Investment Good for Franklin County
Welcomes Announcement of new Letterkenny Feed Mill
Washington, DC – Today, Cargill announced that it will begin production at a new high-capacity feed mill that will employ 12 full time employees and serve dairy and livestock producers in Franklin and surrounding Pennsylvania and Maryland Counties beginning May first.
Congressman Shuster released the following statement upon learning the news:
“This is great news for the agricultural community in the 9th District. The fire that destroyed the old Cargill mill last February dealt a serious blow to farmers in Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. Today’s announcement proves how important our dairy farmers are to the state’s economy that Cargill will reestablish its mill in Franklin County. I look forward to seeing the facility first hand when it opens in May.”
