Shuster: June Jobs Report Further Proof of the Failure of Democrats' Economic PoliciesFriday July 08, 2011
Washington, DC – Congressman Bill Shuster released the following statement after the publication of the June jobs report:
“Last month, we added an anemic 18,000 new jobs to the economy. This is far below many economists’ estimations and marks the worst month of job creation since September.
This poor showing isn’t enough to sustain an economic recovery and in statistical terms, our economy has ground to a halt. The report proves once again that President Obama’s economic policies and those of his Democrat colleagues in Congress continue to yield disastrous results for America.
It is time for the President to realize the American people are tired of his rhetoric without results. It is also time for the Senate to stop stone-walling legislation passed by the House to cut spending, instill confidence in the private sector and create jobs.”
