Shuster on the 12th Anniversary of the September 11th Attacks09/11/13
Washington – Congressman Bill Shuster released the following statement in remembrance of the twelfth anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
“Twelve years after terrorists attacked our nation, we must never forget those who were killed and those that sacrificed themselves for others. Terrorists thought they could destroy our way of life with fear, but as a nation we rose up against Al Qaeda and said, ‘we will not succumb to terror.’
The brave passengers and flight crew of Flight 93 launched our country’s first counter-attack on terrorism and proved the resilience of the American spirit. Their courage and sacrifice saved thousands of lives that day by their selfless act.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of all who were lost that day. Our humble gratitude goes out to the first responders and brave men and women in uniform who protect our country every day from the threat of terrorism and evil.”
