Shuster Honors Heroes of Flight 93

SHANKSVILLE, Pa. – U.S. Representative Bill Shuster (R-Hollidaysburg) attended the 16th anniversary observance of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks at the Flight 93 National Memorial today.

Congressman Shuster joined Vice President Mike Pence, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, Governor Tom Wolf, and U.S. Representative Keith Rothfus (PA-12) to pay tribute to the heroes onboard Flight 93 and to remember the victims of the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil.

Following Vice President Mike Pence’s keynote remarks and a wreath laying ceremony, Congressman Shuster issued the following remarks:

“We gather in Shanksville every year so the world can never forget the heroism of the patriots onboard Flight 93. The passengers and crew acted courageously, sacrificing themselves to prevent greater harm to the nation, and for that we owe a debt of gratitude that we can never repay.”
