Shuster Makes Staff Announcement

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Bill Shuster (R-Hollidaysburg) announced on Friday that Communications Director Casey Contres will be leaving the office to join the staff of Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) as Press Secretary. Joey Brown is being promoted from Legislative Correspondent to Press Secretary in Congressman Shuster’s office.

“Since starting as an intern in my Indiana County office in 2008 to working as my Communications Director for the last few years, Casey has been a tireless advocate for the people of Central and Southwestern Pennsylvania,” said Congressman Bill Shuster. “Throughout his tenure in the office, he has shown an unwavering commitment to communicating policies that benefit our region. I want to thank him for his time serving the 9th district and wish him the best of luck in the future.”

Contres, a graduate of Northern Cambria High School in Cambria County and Indiana University of Pennsylvania interned in Congressman Shuster’s Indiana County office in college. Prior to joining Shuster’s Washington, DC office in 2014, Contres worked on several political campaigns across Pennsylvania.

“It’s been an incredible honor to work for Congressman Shuster and the region that I have called home most of my life,” said Casey Contres. “I’m proud of the work Congressman Shuster continues to do for his constituents and appreciated the opportunity to have a part in ensuring that his policies were communicated to the district.”

Brown, a graduate of Big Spring High School in Cumberland County and California University of Pennsylvania in Washington County started as an intern in Shuster’s office in 2015.
